You Peaople NEED to see the RIVER that You have DESTROYED!
These 'machinations' have NOTHING to do with 'protecting' any lifeforms, just gaming of the 'Ag system' that has been in place on the "westside"...IT SHOULD HAVE NEVER been 'actively' "farmed" in the first place! The San Joaquin River has been literally killed in it's "service" to areas that have NO business or 'rights' to it! Total Political Gaming of 'valuable' resources at any cost to the local ecology... (I know, "$$ talks & bullshit walks") The Cities of this State are in deep BS and their ONLY alternative is to spend enormous sums of resident's money to DESTROY 'resource-rich' areas of the State...Keep going, make this State a "wasteland" (you're all ready doing a GRAND JOB of it!)
