If the Farmers are paying

If the Farmers are paying the contracted labor the legal minimum wage, then please explain how that constitutes an unfair wage? And is that not an issue then with the Contractors?
These workers make $1500 dollars a month, and multi bedroom houses rent for less than $500 a month on the westside.
There was a time when there were labor camps/housing, and the politicians shut them down.
We can agree on the fact that the politicians do not do there jobs. It is time we change the system. If you do not like seasonal farm workers getting government aid, get rid of the aid, not the jobs.
One last thing is that the westside does have very large farms, but to imply that they are all "Wal-mart" and "home-depot" type corporations is not true. Most of these large farms are still family owned and operated. If you trully think that the few corporate farms that do exist on the westside are to blame, which could very well be true, then you should focus on them. Just please do not stereo-type the whole westside as "Corporate". My farm is 3000 acres, family run, and fairly typical of the area.

Radio Show

It is sad, perhaps tragic, that Lloyd has to be an apologist for doing the right thing. Rather than epithets the man should be lauded.

It is likewise heavy on the Central Valley's heart when demagoguery rides the airway of Channel 26 disguised as legitimate news.

For shame!

We're here for you, Lloydo

much love,
