The Truancy Program is institutionalized racism and preys upon the migrant workers---ACLU, NAACP, and Marian Wright Edelman's Children's Defence Fund has issued a call to actiion regarding The School to Prison Pipeline. Truancy, behavior, and "zero tolerance" are used to push struggling in school students out into jail---test scores go up and education revenues are saved, but families and our society are damaged. Lloyd Carter's statement was not politically incorrect but rather an indictment of the school administration of this country. There is school corruption and a betrayal of children and the public trust. The bloggers who chime in with ad hominem attacks are a problem; they were educated in a public school system that has produced dysfunctional adults.
